When Uranus forms a square to the Lunar Nodes, it signals a crisis of individuation — a confrontation with inherited conditioning, calcified identity, and the unfinished work of becoming who we actually are.
Drawing on the mythological arc from Prometheus to Juno’s defiant cry (“If I cannot bend the Higher Powers, I will move the Infernal Regions”), Mark Jones traces the psychological and archetypal dimensions of this configuration through the lens of Jungian individuation, Dabrowski’s theory of positive disintegration, and a rich array of case studies: from Judy Garland’s liberation at the London Palladium to Kerouac’s spontaneous composition of On the Road, Marcel Marceau’s transformation of wartime silence into art, and Jung’s own decisive Uranian turning points.
The person with this natal placement has begun to detach from prior conditioning but may struggle to sustain that process — or may remain unaware of the ways those inherited patterns continue to limit authentic self-expression.
In this two-part webinar (two 90-minute sessions), participants will learn to interpret Uranus square the Nodes as a turning point in personal evolution, identify conditioning patterns through Uranus’s house and sign placement, recognize how resisted or lost insight interrupts individuation, and work toward meaningful reintegration.
Uranus is square the Nodes collectively in 2026, most dynamically once it enters Gemini on April 26th — the same sign it occupied when Gutenberg’s press overturned the transmission of knowledge — continuing through July 27th when the Nodes shift from Virgo/Pisces to Leo/Aquarius.
As part of the webinar, Mark will lead a dedicated session on Uranus in Gemini, exploring emerging themes of mental liberation, shifting frameworks of meaning, and the re-patterning of perception and communication, with particular attention to those with significant Gemini placements or nodal contacts.
This webinar is ideal for those who want to deepen their understanding of the individuation process and Uranus’s role in catalyzing conscious change — as well as those navigating this configuration personally or tracking it in the collective.
